Reign of Kong Grand Opening

I'm not 100% sure but with media preview next week, TM previews done, and softs in progress I believe grand opening will be announced soon for July 4th week. Another thing that makes me believe this is our local Publix store has put out sales items promoting it as New Ride. It does not say coming soon or such. It basically shows like it's open now to everyone.

Don't believe they setup for express but I could be wrong. There is a single rider line though.

I heard July 7th grand opening but who knows how reliable that info is.

I rode it yesterday.......Not bad.....Not amazing(imo).....Don't put expectations too high.

That's interesting. Touring Plans has July 2 listed as the opening date for Hulk. Would they open them both that close together?

I believe they're way off on that July 2nd but I'm not certain. The video that UO posted said that it would open LATE Summer and most ppl are speculating Aug/Sept. Supposedly there is still a lot that isn't finished yet with the queue. Universal works at light speed a lot of times but I doubt Hulk will be open at the same time. That said....this is an old ride with a small face lift and I don't think it would take anything away from the Kong opening if they did it at the same time. But I doubt they'll be rdy at the same time.

Hoping hoping hoping -- please! -- Hulk is open in mid August for our trip .... there are enough closures at MK during our trip as it is. Just love that burst of speed at the beggining of the ride. Amazing!
