Has anyone gotten rehitched at the Garden Grille? DW and I thought if it is cute that we could do it with our 3 yo DD there in August. What is it, is it fun and is it worth it? We love the GG and will probably eat there anyway but thought this might make it more fun!

We did last August. It was a surprise to my poor dh!!! Let them know when you book your ps and then when you check in at the podium, remind them that you have requested the 'rehitching.'. When we did it this is how it worked...a gentleman came to our table, announced to all those around us that 'these nice folks didn't see the importance of inviting us to their wedding, so now they are including us for their rehitching.' We had to stand up, recite some short, simple vows, nice long kiss and then a certificate. Some people have gotten a cake, others have had characters attend the wedding. We got neither of these things. But, my dd sure did get a kick out of it. It was very cute.

We just did this on Saturday night. You might want to check out these threads: <a href="http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=584536">Rehitching thread 1</a>

I did the same thing to DH at the Ice Cream Social over Memorial Day. He was flabbergasted, but touched. Mickey "married" us and we got a certificate. They took pictures for us with our camera. It was really cute. When they said "face each other and hold hands", Mickey got between us and first held hands with DH, then when they said, "No, the BRIDE" he held hands with me. We were howling throughout the whole thing, especially when DD6 and DD8 were gagging and saying EWWW the whole time we were kissing.

I say go for it. It's a cute, fun memory, and one of the few free things at the world.

Im setting this up for my friends that are going in August. First time to WDW. It will be them and their 3 kids. They have no idea. mwa ha ha :)
