Rehearsal?

Hi

For our wishes wedding we will be arriving in Orlando on the Saturday and hopefully the wedding will be on the Tuesday

Does anyone know if we have to have a rehearsal or not as we will be short of time?

If we don't how do we know what to do I would like to avoid it if we can

you should. we got married on a tuesday and had our rehearsal monday morning. we got married in the wedding pavilion and we did our rehearsal there as well, although they couldn’t confirm it 100% until very near the date. a GF ballroom would have been our back up.

you don’t “have” to have a rehearsal. i found it helpful, especially because we had NEVER been inside the WP! it wasn’t long and we had like only one attendant each. but it was really helpful to me to feel like it was all “under control”. i don’t think you need one, assuming a small wedding party, if you don’t feel like you want one and i do feel that the DFTW staff really excel at this type of thing (the ceremony) so they are going to make everything happen smoothly! still i was really glad to have done it.

I personally don't want a rehersal, I don't really want to practice getting married then actually do it the next day hehe, I'd prefer personally to be guided on the day, and I think DFTW are very capable of doing that

Something else to think about, it's really not "practicing getting married" like Tge PP says, it's actually the only time prior
To the wedding that you have a scheduled time with your planner/coordinator. We went over the song list, actually we added a song cue we had not thought of, adjusted the entrance of
Moms/wedding party, dropped off DIY stuff(programs, vinylmation guest
Books) and met our actual planner in person as we had a planner change mid stream. Yes, all this can sort of be done over the phone, but having been through it I think it was very important.

If at all possible, IMHO, time should be made for this brief rehearsal and I would say that it should be a priority given any time available especially after all the planning and expense one goes through. That said, if you weren't able to make it, yes, they can pull it off absolutely. But it really doesn't take long and it isn't a reenactment or anything! also this was the first time we met our officiant and got the blow by blow deets of the next day.


If you don't want it just tell them but I suspect either way a wedding party is going to end up being at francs and or on Tge phone with them or whatnot. I was happy to go and be done in 30 minutes!

I didn't have a rehearsal, and I was honestly fine with it. We had a small bridal party (two people each) but, really, your planner will tell people when to walk and where. I didn't feel like we missed out by not having a rehearsal: it all still ran smoothly and was well organized.

Since I'm writing our ceremony, I want to at least go through it once with everyone to see how it works. I remember being really glad my best friend had a rehearsal for her wedding.

I'm not sure yet if we'll do a full rehearsal (officiant, WP, and planner), but I want to at least do a run-through with our party. We'll probably end up doing a full rehearsal because I want to go over music with my planner. I picked a very specific song to walk down the aisle to, and it has to be timed (I'm not walking until the intro, and I want the whole song played).
