Okay, I am apologizing in advance because I tried to search this but the search function here is awful. Sorry! :)

Anyway, I am interested in a rehearsal dinner that isn't private for financial reasons- but is one of the all you can eat meals- like 1900 Park Fare, Ohana, Boma, Whispering Canyon, etc. Does anyone know if these will hold a group of about 36 people? If so, who do I speak to? Do I call 100 days out?

Thanks!!

I'm not sure about the sizes but definitely contact your planner I'm sure it is way easier to go through them to try and book something (ie they can give you tips) or call group reservations! I think Carly (jessesgirl) had one at whispering canyon but don't know the size!

For a party of that size you can contact the manager at WCC and ask if you can reserve the "library" section...behind the fireplace. It should be more than enough room for your party size. Plus I have read of others who were able to customize their menus (limited options) when paying for their guests. HTH.

We had our rehearsal dinner in ohana's and had a blast, there were 15 of us and we had one large table in the centre of the room. There is so much room in there I am sure they could accommodate 36 people. We didn't realise how big it was until we walked around. The atmosphere is great and the food was fantastic. I booked it through disney dining about 5 weeks before hand, it was a late booking and they were stil able to accommodate us.

we had our rehearsal lunch at grand floridian cafe and then our welcome dinner at chef mickeys, i just called and booked them through wdw dine

Hi LuLu:
I know Ohana's does hold resevations for 36, I just made it for my rehersal dinner next month. The only bummer is that if you go through disney dinning to make the reservation, they will have you call Ohana's for any party over 31. They will also tell you that you need to have the dinner before 5:30pm. I think you can press the people at Ohana's to get you in later if necessary. The lady I spoke to was very friendly.
Good Luck

I would love to have our rehearsal dinner at Boma. It has the perfect "multicultural" atmosphere that we would be hard-pressed to find at any other Disney location.

Does anyone know if you would pay the same $$ amount per guest for a larger welcome/rehearsal dinner at a buffet like Boma as if you were dining there with a "regular" reservation? Group charges would probably apply, and I understand! ;)

This could save a lot of money for the actual wedding day.

I think as long as they let you make the reservation that they would not charge you extra! We've eaten there before with a large group (not as large as your group) and were charged the regular amount. What a great location - love their food!
