We're not having a wedding at Disney World but we are having a Disney themed wedding. Anyway on with the question, my DF have told us they are not paying for it unless they get to pick the place. FMIL says she wants to go to this place that DF and I think looks like kid's birthday party and FFIL wants to go to another restraunt that DF and I don't like the food at. So here is our dilemma do we even invite them at all because we mad a deposit at a restraunt and it's non-refundable, so if my mom pays for it with a credit card do we have to issue an invitation to the dinner to his parents who don't get along with my or DF that well and don't want to pay for the dinner what do you think?

Is there a place that everyone likes? Maybe you guys can go there. Also, this is YOUR wedding and you should eat where you want to!! Maybe you guys can do a dinner with them separatly and have the main with your parents. Also, if you think that they'll ruin your wedding day, don't invite them!! My parents are divorce and there are some family members of mine that won't get along from both sides.

I'm sending everyone a letter in my family and telling them that if they don't think that they can be civil to one another, don't bother coming because this is MY and MY HUSBAND'S day and we're not going to have any kind of interruptions. And if they do come and start problems, they're going to be asked to leave and not come back.

Well hun, this is my opinion and I hope this helps you somewhat!! GL:thumbsup2

How does your DF feel about not inviting his parents... I would think not inviting them would cause A LOT of problems for you in the future, at the wedding and just your future in general, you do have to deal with them for the rest of your lives together. You should have DF explain things to his parents, why you chose the other place and tell them that the deposit is non refundable etc. but that they are welcome to attend... DF might have resentment for you later on if you try to exclude his parents... whether they pay or not rehearsal dinner etiquette clearly states that both sets of parents attend.
