I was reading another post somewhere about a rumor of the Boardwalk Villas getting a rehab. Which got me to wondering what does Disney do when a DVC resort is being updated? Are DVC members out of luck because less rooms are availible? Does Disney make rooms availible at their hotels during this time for DVC members? I'd assume that they would not shut the whole resort down, but I'd guess at any given time there could be a 10% or more reduction in availible rooms. (Which could put a hurt on DVC members during busy seasons.) Thanks.

That's where the 4% breakage inventory comes in. Disney still owns about 4% so they have "wiggle room" when units need to be rehabed.

They have done extensive rehabs in the past at BWV, they close down small sections at a time. They repainted the entire outside about 5 years ago and had to close down rows of rooms.
