Official planned closures, these dates often shift, grow longer or are cancelled, don't be surprised by changes, recheck when your trip is near. This is what is currenly planned through the Fall.

I hope you're right Skiingfast.

I miss all the closures except Aladdin's Oasis-what is that?

Aladdin's Oasis used to be a restaurant way back in the day....it hasn't been "open" in years. Actually, recently they opened it so you can go in, sit down at the tables, and use the restrooms. I assumed it was still in that status.

... Aladdin's Oasis - what is that?
Aladdin's Oasis has been open for meet-and-greets with characters from Aladdin:

It's also a nice quiet spot to take a break. You can carry in food and/or drinks and rest a spell.

And it has a restroom. :thumbsup2

The Disneyana Fan Club had a special dinner at Aladdin's Oasis on July 17. (link)

Didn't they do an Aladdin storytime/play there? or was that somewhere nearby?

Thanks for the update Skiingfast!
I'm happy with what I'm seeing so far for our trip.
Where do you guys find this information at?

This information can be found by calling disney! :lmao: Another poster stumbled upon it yesterday. The number is (714) 781-4636.
Select disney parks, then disneyland, then attractions. Of course info is subject to change without notice.

Small correction on this. When the Jungle Cruise goes down in August, the dates are actually Aug 28 - Aug 29th.

Yeah it used to be a dinner and show spot for Aladdin. Before that it was called the Tahitian Terrace and was a dinner and dance/music show from the Polynesian; from 1963 til it closed to become Aladdin's Oasis in 1993. Sad was that the Tahitian Terrace was jam packed every single day, Aladdin didn't even live up to that which is why it closed. I say bring back the Tahitian Terrace!!

Oh wow!! Thanks SO very much for posting this! I was really worried that some of our faves, and the only real "thrillish" rides in DL, like BTMRR and Indy would be closed and make it not so fun for the hubs. Any chance they will add more to the list, or is this really pretty much it, and maybe they would just add longer dates to these ones if needed?

Disneyland Park

Mark Twain Riverboat closed September 25th through 28th

Thanks for the info! Sadly, we'll miss the circus train and boats, luckily we rode those on our one-day trip last year, since my son LOVES Casey.

I was wondering though about the Mark Twain ... Do you think that means no Fantasmic?

We were hoping to see it either Sunday the 23 (arrival) or Friday (28) departure, but it looks like both boats will be down at least part of that time.

Fantasmic! can show in a variety of ways, including with out the big boats. F! usually doesn't run over this September midweek period but would on Friday. However since that is the first night of Mickey's Halloween Parties, F! wouldn't be showing anyway.

For anyone interested, I get rehab information from a number of different sources, not a single location. All information is from Disney itself making it official. If you see a discrepancy please send me a PM with your source. Many of my sources often change thier data and you certainly may spot them before I do.

I called the # this AM & it said Jungle Cruise was down July 28th to Aug 2nd.:confused3

I believe they mentioned something about it being closed again the end of Aug. The automated message went too fast for me!! So it appears that Jungle Cruise will actually be closed 2 times this summer.

Now- when you say Aladdin's Oasis will be closed until Jan 2013...do you mean the Meet & Greet? Or the entire defunct "restaurant"? Basically, can I still go here to sit , eat & potty??;)

This is a GREAT idea and I totally think it should be a sticky (or linked to in the sticky on Planning) for newbies who don't realize how to find out about rehabs. I was pretty disappointed to miss POTC and Screamin' on our trip last year, but at least I knew about it before we went! Thanks skiingfast.

awesome news - looks like the worry over Indy being down for refurb were misplaced.

Thanks for reminding of us of that source. The source I normally use to update here at The DIS hasn't been updated recently. :confused3

Now we're all up to date:

Disneyland Resort Rehabs
Thanks.

If this thread becomes something that is going to be ongoing, may I make a small request for my own sanity? Pretty please... :worship:

Could the title and list heading please, pretty please, be changed to "Refurbs," not "Rehabs"?

Attractions are not rehabilitated like a drug treatment program, they are refurbished, like an apartment. Sorry to be the grammar geek on this one, but it drives me absolutely batty when posts on DIS constantly say "rehab" instead of "refurb." :faint: I never comment, because, let's face it, threads last on the "top" for a few days, so it's really not something to get persnickety about, :goodvibes but if this is going to be around for a while, for my own personal sanity, could that little tiny change please be made? Pretty please? Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! :flower3:

P.S. Tom, the DIS listing says Rehabs too. Just in case no one ever noticed. Yeah, drives me batty. What can I say? Blame my 7th grade English teacher. :teacher:
