This attraction is slated to reopen in a week or so. Does anyone know if the accessibility issues have addressed during this rehab? Might just be painting and such, but we'd really like to be able enjoy this ride. Hoping for good news. Thanks.
I doubt very much that anything has been changed in the methods of boarding and unload. The main reason it was closed was during the rehab of Space Mountain because of construction work and they did not want to take any chances of problems with Guest Safety while TTA vehicles were inide Space Mountain.
So there will still be the moving ramps and platforms.
I'm glad this thread came up because I was wondering if there is an entrance to the TTA for people with the GAC? I remember we always just got on or only had a 5 minute wait or so but if there are longer lines because this was closed for so long I want to make sure we won't have a 30+ minute wait. My DD will not be able to wait that long due to her autism. We all love this ride and are hoping it is true that it is re-opening on the 12th!

There is only one entrance - up the moving ramp.
In the past, there was usually a CM stationed at the entrance to that ramp. The actual queue line was a series of movable stakes with chains attached that they arranged in different ways depending on the number of people waiting. When the line was short, the chained area was short and was just outside of the moving ramp.
If the line extends past the ramp, you may be able to wait with her outside of the line and join others in your party once they get to the entrance to the ramp. I know in the past, some people waited in line with wheelchairs that they got out of when they reached the moving ramp since wheelchairs can't go up the ramp. There was a 'gate' that the CM could open to let the wheelchairs out of the area when the person got out of the wheelchair. If you are using a stroller as a wheelchair, you could do the same with the stroller (if you don't know about strollers as wheelchairs, you can find out more information in post #6 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread).
Ask the CM at the entrance.

Thanks for that info. I thought it was closed because it had gotten SO shabby. The last time I rode it (earlier this year) I could not believe how many rips and tears there were in all the seats. I'd never seen anything like that before at WDW.
Now it makes sense that they delayed refurb until the space mountain work.
