I already have a park reservation for January 4 in Hollywood studios should I cancel it and book the Disney After hours event? This would count as my only DHS day during the vacation.

I like the late nights in the parks and while I make it to close, it's not the ideal way I like to tour. It's a nice perk that you can get in at 7pm for the after hours event, so if you could arrive at 7p and make it to close, it could be a great event but it's just not my favorite way to do the park especially if it's my only park visit. If I had another day, I'd totally do it or add it to my full day at DHS and just plan to arrive around lunch time. I just wouldn't do evening only.

I think it depends on what your priorities are. ROTR is too unreliable to count on for an after hours event.

All of the HS headliners are finicky. Even for only one day, you might not be able to get one of them.

If you don't care so much about specific rides, I think the afterhours would be really fun, and that's how I would do it instead of all day.

Thank you all for your opinion! We decided to keep only the daytime reservation because a part from rides we want to see the shows.
