Registration Declined!

I registered at 10:20 am Eastern time, I did not miss the cut off. VMK messed up!

Maybe it was something else, not just the fact that 200 teams were accepted.

I don't think I'm special, but I do think I'm one of the most dedicated VMK gamers that the game has. And I've formed a team that consists of the best people in VMK that I will ever meet. If my gaming history can help save these peoples efforts and hopes, then utilizing it to see what it's worth is the least I can do for them.. and for myself!

But I can totally understand your vent, I wouldn't want to compete against me either! Maybe I should just give up correcting the error and make way for the errorless? Gotcha!

Winning awards does not make someone the most dedicated VMK player. What about some of the people on this board that help people day in and day out. VMK is many thing to many people and I don't think we need to start putting labels on what makes a dedicated player.

Some people didn't make it in the contest because they registered correctly if you made a mistake you need to stand by that and not expect special treatment because if they do it for you they have to do it for everyone and then we have to make exceptions for the people that didn't understand, and the exceptions have to be made for the people that work and couldn't be on the computer first thing in the morning and on and on and each of those people also had teams that are going to be disappointed. I am going to bet their teams are made up of the best players they have ever met.

Woot! I agree especially with bold part. No special treatment please. Fair is fair and he made a mistake and that's that. Some people took the time to quadruple check their entries and they should get the last spot not someone who thinks they are the greatest thing since the "friends only" option. lol

There was a post on this board about how to register and how to be careful and if you are such a dedicated player then surely you know how picky the are about the registrations.

Let this be a lesson to you all in what happens when you admit fault on your behalf on the internet. People will swarm on you and whatever dirt they can find, in this case, an error in our shallow end title.

I recieved an e-mail stating we were accepted Wednesday evening. Others were accepted earlier.

It makes no sense. If the reason is they are full and I sent my registration on Monday, how are teams being accepted later in the week. IT MAKES NO SENSE!!

it may have something to do with the fact that they didn't want the same idea repeated twice. if for example team a wants to create an all pirates water park, and signs up first, i think it's safe to say that the staff will not want team b to repeat the idea. It makes sense as that would eliminate all "fights" that may arouse where saying things like "oh you took our idea" or "all you people did was copy" may come up.. i think they have reasons for only letting in a certain number of teams.. however i could be wrong.. and to quote Mr. Gibbs "reasons ain't got nothing to do with it".. may be the real answer to your problem

To be honest, even though it sounds much more unfair, getting everyone to register then randomly picking 200 teams out a barrel would of been smarter. Then you could blame your luck instead of each other

I really wish this event did not turn player against player. If you have an issue with the way the registration was handled, please talk to VMK and not fight about it with your fellow players.
