Regis and Kelly taping

Hey everyone! I was just wondering if any of you have been to a taping of Regis and Kelly. My friend and I are going to try to go soon but are not sure. If we do we will need to get tickets by doing standby.
Can anyone tell me any more info?

I know my cousin went. He loves Regis and Kelly and he even won one of the trips too.

I know he maybe e mailed or requested tickets like months in advance. I think I also read that you have to go through a metal detector. Its a very controlled process just getting into the taping. I also dont know if they have a dress code, like solid color etc?

He said before the actual show taping I think Regis and Kelly came and talked with the audience. I know he aid Kelly was really friendly and skinny too.

Kelly does look pretty skinny on TV. Almost too thin.

I live in the city and I've done the standby line once. I got there at about 6:30ish and was 8th in line. This was the middle of the summer so it was very crowded. I think they let in 9 people that day. The studio is much tinier than it looks on tv. There are metal detectors and security and such. It's a fun experience. Enjoy!

He won the trip to the Buccaneer in St. Croix. He had to go by himself as his fil was having surgery so his wife couldnt go.

I dont know why he couldnt bring one of us cousins along

He said it was a great trip. Only problem was the first day he got bit by all these bugs on the beach. They call them "no see em" bugs. You cant see them, but they leave bite marks etc.

I have been there as well (also have been to The View several times and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon). When I went, I had tickets so I got in (even with tickets there's a chance you may not get in, probably unlikely though). But usually the way it works is for standby you must get there very early (6:00 ish). You are given a slip with a number and after all off the ticket holders are left it, standby's are left in according to availability. Usually before the ticket holders are left in, the staff/personal friends and family members are left in. Again I had no problem with my Regis/Kelly entrance. It was also an rainy day out so there weren't as many people in line. However, I have been to the View a few times where we weren't able to get in. It can depend on who is there that day as well. I would try to request tickets if you can. They will notify you several weeks before the taping. Have fun!
