It's official.... Regis and Kelly are going to be taping live in WDW at the Magic Kingdom on May 11th and 12th.... apparently they'll be at Disneyland too (May 8th). What a bummer!

Don't get me wrong, I like them and their show, but if what I've been hearing about camera crews & security detail and blocking streets and attractions is true... I'm going to be mighty upset if it disrupts the magic for my kids! (My daughter idolizes the Princesses and we were already planning on being at MK that day - have a PS for breakfast!)

Rats!

Thank you so much!!! :cool1:

I was worried about Reeg and Kelly, but I have our MK day planned for May 10th and then May 13th in the evening so if they are gonna be at MK the 11th and 12th, with any luck we'll will miss all their commotion all and stuff all together! :cool1:

Uuuuugh - I'm hoping they'll be cleared out of the MK the morning of the 11th and it won't make a crowd difference that afternoon and evening. :(

Here is the ticket info off their website, if anyone is interested. Personally, I am not happy about this either, because I had Thursday the 12th as a MK day for us. Now, I'm wondering where they are going to be set up, because I would think if you need tickets to attend, it would have to be in a theater, rather than out in the open.

I am not thrilled either as we will be there. Even if they are out in the open, it would be roped off for people to sit and watch the show.
When they were at the MGM Studios they were our in front of the hat. I bet anything they are in front of the castle some how. there isn't really any other place in MK that would work. I bet they in the walkway to Fantasyland (the one that goes by Cosmic Rays). just my 2 cents. but the Cinderella show area would hold a lot of people.

oh and just think of all the lookey loos...I will be running the other way to rides. :goodvibes

What about the theater in Tomorrow land?? Would it be possible that they would do the show there? I could see how they would want to be in front of the castle for the shots but then I wouldn't be able to see cinderrellebration.... Hummm... I whish I knew where they would be!

Well that's good to know. We leave on the 11th so we won't have to deal with the crowds. Good luck to everyone else.

The countdown continues :hourglass
18 days until we are in the world :thewave:

Not saying it will happen, but remember Disney is known for last minute changes. You could still see the EMH schedule that week change, even in the 11th hour.

If possible, I would try to avoid the parks they'll be at-- and you shouldn't run into too many issues from it.

For anyone who likes this show (like my dh :) ) it is really neat.

That's so disappointing. the 12th is our last day and we were planning on MK. We have 8:10 ressies for breakfast with Cinderella. So much for thinking we will get in all by ourselves! I like them too, but not on my vacation!

Do you send a letter or a postcard or does it matter?

I would say envelope because you can't send a self addressed envelope enclosed in a postcard...

Well, this has certainly ruined my schedule! I was planning on MK on Thursday, to try and take advantage of the fact that EMH is on Wednesday night. BUT, I am taking my 72 year old mother for her first ever trip to WDW. She LOVES Regis, so I am going to try for tickets. She is so excited, she is absolutely giddy!

I don't know anything about filming a TV show but don't you think that they will only be there in the morning since it is a morning show and that it won't effect night time EMH at all?

Disney is trying to promote the parks. That is why they film parades, tv shows in the parks. I am sure they will do what they can so that everyone in the park that day will have a great time.

I think if I can get tickets I'll fly down for just those 3 days...wonder how lucky I can be...or if my dh would shoot me.. :cool1:

Ok...i have a question..since everyone says this will drive up the crowds, PLUS an EMH day at MK....the other parks should pretty empty right???

if so, what would be the best park to do that day?

Darn, as crazy as it sounds I would love to be there

I really doubt that the show will be taped in a theater. They have always taped in front of something that is recognizable as Disney, they are owned by Disney you know. Also even though it is a hard ticket event, there isn't a charge for the ticket so chances are they will still tape in the open areas of the magic Kingdom.

Go Disney promotion/advertisement crews :cheer2: , get the word out about the celebration at the expense of those who have planned for a year to be there by using a Disney owned TV show, and not the best one either I might add. I use to watch, but I guess I grew out of it.
