How is the wee one?

She's great, thanks. She's one month old today. See below, we're still not getting a lot of sleep! But it's all been worth it. Her mid-wife (who ended up not being able to deliver her) was putting an ad in the local paper and wanted to user our daughter for the ad. They took the photo today!

I got my package today from Sally (imageid)!! I got two cookbooks: Best of the Best from Ohio and Heinen's Retiree Club Cookbook (I love these personal recipe cookbooks. They always have great family recipes in them!) and I got a pretty notepad and a rolling pin pen. It's soo cute! I love everything Thank you so much Sally!

On my way to the post office to mail my cookbook I found a package on my front porch!

Thank you to Kathleen (disneygrandy) for River Road Recipes from the Junior League of Baton Rouge. I skimmed the whole thing over at my dad's house and read some of the recipes to him. So many sound good. It's a lot like the many cookbooks my mom had. I saw some good gumbo recipes and even some plum pudding ones for next Christmas . I have not had plum pudding since my grandma died in the 1980's. Thanks so much!
