Regina's War on Crocs

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
(wondering about how this would be marketed...)

Actually someone is going to make a million on that. I am thinking of the benefits of this new item:

Croc Thongs (and no we don't mean the shoes) that have circulation nubs and are antimicrobial.

I can't wait to cruise with you guys!!!:cool1:

I wasn't 100% sure whether it was carpet or concrete.

I'm also a sock-Croc'er. However, during our last visit I was wearing some Adidas that were labeled as both "Climalite" and Climacool"...they were so comfortable and even in the August heat my feet stayed cool and dry!

Wow, am I the only one that those little nub things make my feet hurt?

I love all of the new styles, but am afraid to try them. Does every shoe have those little spiky things?

Has anyone seen the croc socks. They are one color with circles of another color to show thru the croc holes. Makes sense??/

LOL I can't type croc hole without laughing!!!

Now there is a look!!!

Oh yeah! I am SOOOOOOOOO good!

I even got a fast pass for that, so i spent 3 mins in the queue line!

Its my new talent!

I thought about getting some of those, but i just dont think its warm enough in the UK to wear them very often, or so hot it will be sweaty. Are they comfy?

They are very comfy - I got them about three weeks ago when I was home and brought them with me to Copenhagen. I've only worn them with socks one day and they've been fine. All the cobblestones are still a pain the neck but I'm managing it.

My feet must be weird, because despite all the praise crocs get for being comfortable, I found them to be about as comfy as they are attractive. Which is to say not at all! My mom made me try a pair a few years ago back when I worked in a retail job that had me on my feet all day because she'd heard so many people say how great they were. But by the end of an 8 hour shift walking and standing on hard tile, my feet hurt so bad I was using every vile epithet I could think of to curse my mother. My feet used to always ache by the end of the day, but far less with my sneakers than with the crocs. I was happy to return them to her and frankly a little relieved that I wouldn't be tempted to wear such an unattractive shoe.

Last summer I gave Crocs a second try as I wanted a pair of sandals to bring to WDW to wear around the pool. I bought a pair in the Cleo style as I thought they were cute. They were decent for minimal walking around the resort, but I made the silly mistake of wearing these to the airport to go down to Orlando. The rubber shoe does nothing to combat sweaty feet, and the foot bed gets quite slippery. My first flight was delayed, so when I arrived in Dallas to switch planes, there was barely enough of my originally scheduled layover to find the next gate. Trying to run in these sandals from gate to gate was a disaster. My feet kept slipping out of them so often that I very nearly stopped to take them off, but I didn't want to be that crazy person running barefoot through the airport.

It's a shame because I'm trying to find a comfortable pair of dressy shoes to wear to dinner for our cruise this summer and some of the newer styles are really cute. But after two bad experiences, I'm not sure I want to chance trying them again! :sad2:
