? regarding transportation to the ship

Hi there:
I'm just wondering how the transportation to Port Canaveral works if you do the Disney bus?? Do they have one departure time from each hotel?? Can you specify a pick up time?? Trying to determine whether to rent a car and get to Port Canaveral on our own or reserve Disney transfer?? We will be staying at the Beach Club.

Well, this was my experience last week (so sad to be back);

We stayed at CBR and when we checked in with DCL they informed us that each hotel had its own pick up time and that ours would be 10:00 - OR - we could go to AK where they offered a character breakfast and storage of carryons while you explored. We opted for choice number 2 (AK) we got there, checked our carryons and walked explored until 12:45 when the bus picked us up and trnsferred us to the port. We arrived at port at about 2:15 and walked right onto the ship! Perfect for us! And now, with making reservations online before you go, this arrival time was no problem at all!

If you opt to go to AK do they give you a special ticket?? or do you need to purchase a ticket?? I hate wasting my park tickets for a hlf day visit.
We got back from a 9 day land trip on the 14th so I know how depressing it is when the trip is over (especially with all the rain here in NJ)
