Many people believe at one time or another the Steve Irwin video will be leaked on the internet.

If this does happen, would you want to watch it?

I know a lot of people who would watch the video out of complete curiosity...knowing that there is a video out there that shows first hand footage of a man being killed doing what he loves.

Is it sick that people want to see this? I think it is the way people are...so curious to see what has people talking all over. People, in their own sick twisted way, want to watch a man being killed.

This is how media, technology and other mediums have desensitized the people.

With that said, youtube has already leaked the video:

I personally will never watch this video. Yes, I am curious as to see what happened, but the video will scare me for the rest of my life. I can't stand even watching people kill eachother in movies.

okay. I didn't really want to see it, but the sick side of me clicked the link to see if its actually the steve video. It was something about spice girls. :confused3

I'm too chicken to watch it. But I paused it the second it started, and read the comments. I trust everyone. Alrighty. My friends were brave enough to watch it. And they say it's fake. Ok I just watched it. Whoever posted that is horrible. Its fake. How dare they post something like that.

And yes, I just contradicted myself here...

I posted the link to prove a point...that some people WILL want to watch a video of a man being killed...the point would be proven by seeing references to a fake video on the page as that would indicate they clicked the link. Of course, I would never ever think of posting the real video even if it ever did get leaked. I don't find pleasure or entertainment by watching another person's final hour...it isn't me.

I honestly hope the video stays within the hands of respectful people and that it won't ever reach say youtube or any other video uploading site.

I pretty much figured that was what you were doing. And I was stunned that it could've been leaked out like that. I planned on closing the window if it was real, but I just couldn't keep wondering so I opened it up and I saw some guys singing. Call me sick and twisted, but I was stunned at the possiblity of that being real. so i checked.

And that is the reaction of most everyone who wants to see it. Except in this case, they are shocked that this man has died instead of the video being leaked (which might be of later's news). Also, another possibility could be that his death is so much talked about, people will naturally WANT to see what the "talk" is about or just be so curious to know exactly what is being talked about. Really, people have been so desensitized by what media shows on tv and such that the people will let their curiosity take them to a point of watching a man's death.

I couldn't watch it. I was stunned and I opened the link to see if it was real, but had it been, I would've closed it. I can't watch the man on televison anymore, I couldn't watch him die.

This has been the discussion topic in my homeroom for the past week.. people have some interesting views(..like one of the cheerleaders feeling the need to tell us that his life insurance didn't do work.. as in it didn't insure that he would live.. :confused3 ).. but I digress

I wouldn't watch it. I can't even watch people die in movies knowing full well that it's fiction.. I've seen someone die, and it's not something that I would ever want to go through again, no matter how "prepared" I am to see the recording of it...

Why would I, or anyone, want to see another human suffering in his last moments of life? It doesn't make any sense.

I like the point you proved with the link... the sad thing is, it would probably be the most watched video on the website...

As a side note, insane Irwin fans are getting their revenge:

I would watch it out of curiousity.and I've seen that video before. :rotfl:

I didn't really want to watch it.
I can handle watching someone die in a fiction movie.
But not in real life. That's just cruel and sickening.
I clicked on the link to see if it was true, if it really was.
Buut as mentioned before, it is the spice girls video. eheheh. very funny. i thought my pc was directing me to something i had watched recently on youtube.

I'm a scuba diver so i might watch it not to see a man die but rather to see why a creature that is as shy as a Sting Ray might kill a man.
And if Steve Irwin were here he would condem any killing of a creature for doing what comes natural (protecting it self).

I would want to watch it for that reason only too, because, being a diver as well, I wouldn't want other people to get hurt.

Hah. When I was in school today, I was thinking, was this a trick? I had told my friends about this thread, and one of them said she wouldn't be able to sleep not knowing if it was real or not.

I personally agree that the video should ever be leaked. If anything, it should be burned.

Did Steve realize he was hurting himself even more by pulling the sting ray's barb out? Or was there no choice, had he left the barb in, more and more venom would be injected?

Did the sting ray fling its tail up at Steve or did Steve come "smushing" down on the sting ray?

Would you rather see the Steve video or the video of the guy in the orange shirt being decapitated (they were literally sawing his head off) over in (Iraq?)

This past Saturday went to see an exhibit of preserved human bodies at Boston's science museum (mos.org). Part art, part anatomy. There were over two dozen bodies, some were posed in positions of actions, such as for ice skating, playing baseball, etc. Also exhibits on different topics, joint implants, cancer, childbirth (fetuses too). There is another exhibit like it somewhere else in the U.S. and the exhibits will be moved to different cities every few months.

Screenplay for video of man being killed. Starts with closeup of bee in flower. Zoom out to show bush with flowers and people standing around. Zoom in on bee and pan as it flies over to one of the persons, landing on him and stinging him. Close up on person pinching bee and pullling it off, dropping it on the ground, and stepping on it. Then view of person writhing and falling to ground, becoming unconscious from bee sting allergy.
