Hi. We just got back from a 2 week trip and we have another one planned but most likely going to cancel. In my current use year I have 60 points but it looks like somewhere along the way I borrowed 50 from 2022. My use year is June. Is there any way those points can be reallocate so I don’t lose them. We are going to rebook for later on in 2022 probably October /Nov
Thanks

If you are going to cancel the only other trip you have planned for the current UY, and DVC is no longer returning borrowed points to their original UY due to COVID (which I don’t believe they are, but I could be wrong), than unfortunately there is not much you can do to use those borrowed points before they’d expire May 31st, 2022. If you are absolutely sure you don’t want to plan a trip by then your only option might be to rent the points out before they expire. If you need the points for that later 2022 trip, take the rental income and turn it around into renting the points you need for that trip. You might lose a little bit in the exchange, especially if you use a broker, but it would be far better than losing 50 points.

Of course the 60 current UY points in that Nov reservation can be banked into next year.

The covid exception that allowed borrowed points to be put back into their original use year if you cancelled was done away with in April. The current rule is the original rule in that borrowed points cannot be returned to their original use year.

Just confirming what the others have posted. The borrowed points will expire if not used on or before May 31, 2022. Hope you can find a way to retain some value for them

Hi. I had a wonderful rep today that helped me reallocate my points. She was very understanding
Are you saying that member services put your 2022 points that you borrowed back into their original 2022 use year? They essentially let you "unborrow" them?
