Hi all!

I'm THIS close to booking Orlando after a few years away (well, California and Las Vegas :goodvibes ). We usually stay at I-Drive, but really want to try something a bit different.

I'm looking at both these locations and would be grateful for any input from folk who have stayed at either.

Many thanks!

Plan to book tonight!!!

My Dad stayed at the Regal Sun in Dec, great location as you can walk to DTD but he got a room in the wing not the main building and it wasn't the greatest, clean but very plain, with a view of the car park.

Stayed at Regal Sun last year end of August, just for 3 nights. Got a great of £25/night incl resort fee. When we got there we were upgraded to a tower room, I have heard a few times the outer rooms are not as good.
Location is a good as it gets, walk across the road to DTD. Also being in the tower we got great views.
Marriott village, only stayed at Fairfield inn(3 times) there not Springhill. You can use any of the facilities from the 3 hotels, Only negative I have about here is the traffic, as we only go school hols the traffic can be crazy, 15-20 mins just to get onto the 535, 100 yards away.

Thanks! Good pix, very helpful.

Virgin site states four "V"s for Regal and 3.5 for Spring Hill suites. But with experience I take Virgins V-rating system with a pinch of salt ;)

Spring Hill is £100 odd cheaper, internet and has breakfast thrown in. So I'm leaning towards that.

Yikes! Orlando Flex ticket jump under £700 for 2 adults and two kids! :sad1:

I have stayed at both but quite a few years ago. The breakfast was not great at springhill and the rooms were very odd - 2 TVs but within a couple of feet of each other. We stayed at Regal sun when still grosvenor but I think I would pick that one over springhill anytime.

We've only stayed at the Springhill Suites, but found it very acceptable accommodation. Decent enough breakfast to set you up for the day, friendly staff and a decent sized pool (the two times we have used it!!). It's also a short stroll to Bahama Breeze and Golden Corral. Downside as Wayne notes is that in peak holiday times, it can be difficult getting onto the 535.

This assumes you are driving. If not, then the Regal Sun has a very frequent (1/2 hourly) bus service to the Disney parks, and is in walking distance of Downtown Disney and Crossroads. There is a website for this hotel and others in the vicinity here. Plus you can get Lynx bus 50 from Hotel Plaza Boulevard to Seaworld (bus #50) and the Florida Mall (bus # 111).

:thumbsup2 Many thanks, as I booked it yesterday

We're there late May, and over Memorial Weekend (and Star Wars weekend! :darth:) so I'm expecting a few busy days
