Has anyone stayed at the Regal Palms resort? What's your opinion on it? Any info on it would be GREAT!!! It appears to be very nice!! Thanks!!! :teeth:

We stayed there in May. I posted a long review. Try a search under "regal palms" Onlyoneforme has also been posting about this resort, with lots of good info.
Any question, I would be happy to answer!

My family and I stayed in a 3 bedroom condo this past January and LOVED it! :lovestruc

The condo was clean, new, and the resort was just lovely! (There was some construction around as the Regal Palms is a fairly new development) We rented through a private owner who gave us a GREAT rate! The pool complex was WONDERFUL! It had a very nice waterslide, a lazy river, a zero depth entry level side to the pool as well as a "quiet" pool and a hot tub.

It took us, in January remember, a max. of 20min to get to the Disney gates. The staff at the Regal Palms was nice and they now have a courtesy shuttle to the parks running 4 x a day, but we never took advantage since we had a rental car. There is a Publix market just up the road, maybe 1/3 of a mile...also a pizza and chinese place too! I have recommended this resort to all my friends and others and have already reserved a 4 bedroom for next January for our trip with some friends! :cloud9:

onlyoneforme - thanks for the good info. We too have been thinking about staying here. I keep looking elsewhere after reading some of the bad reviews - but it really looks like every place gets a few bad reviews. We have young kids and I think they would really love the water slides in addition to having a private pool. I am planning on taking my family down in March. Seeing that you were happy with your rental, would you be able to help us contact the owners.

thanks! stacey

I've also been looking here, though not too sure. Was looking at the 3 BR townhouse, if you have a suggestion as to where to book for this one, you could pm me :)

We stayed in a 4 bedroom in June and liked it enough that we are going back again for 11 days in February. The pool area is AWESOME! Your kids will love it. My kids are 4, 6 and 8 and had a BLAST. They loved the slide and lazy river (which is nice because it is only 3 ft deep.) It really does look like the pictures on the website.

The townhouse itself was nice and basic. Downstairs it had a full kitchen, queen size bedroom with a full bathroom, plus another half bath. Upstairs was the full laundry with a master bedroom and full bath, another full bath and two more twin bedrooms. The only thing I didn't care for was that it was decorated very bland....all beige. Compared to other resorts we've stayed at the decorating and furnishings are just boring. I like bright and cheerful, but...it was very clean and had a tremendous amount of space for $100 a night which is what we paid. You could have two families stay in one 4 bedroom unit since there are two master bedrooms with full baths.

Also...the restaurant/bar right near the pool was very good. And...you can get a $25 gift certificate for it on restaurant.com for like $4 this week with a discount code.

It is a little further out from Disney than some other resorts, but the pool area alone makes up for it. Plus, we never hit any traffic and this was in June when a lot of kids are out of school.

Hope this helps you!
Happy planning!

We just got back last month and didn't have as great of luck as the other posters. It wasn't clean and if you're looking at location, there's others that are closer that I would try. If you're looking at the price, there are others that are cheaper. From the reviews here and tripadvisor, it seems to be the luck of the draw whether it's going to be a good stay or not. I wouldn't stay there again if I had the choice. I posted a review when I came back under "horrible regal palms stay."
