thinking of going to DL for first time the two weeks right after labor day. how quick do they start refurbs. will any attractions be down right after labor day. not familiar with the history of refubs at DL. TIA

Traditionally, yes, they have closed some rides the day immediately following Labor Day, but I honestly couldn't tell you what rehabs will be planned for that time.

With the number of attractions and the huge crowds that the parks now pull in, it's virtually impossible to go when something isn't closed for refurb. I see this as a good thing because I was one of the customers that would go in the 80's and 90's when the park was not maintained very well.

Right after Labor Day and right after New Years are the biggest times for refurbs to happen. Lower crowds. Maximum refurbs.

You can pretty much guarantee Haunted Mansion and Space Mtn will be down for their holiday overlay in early September. They usually re-open around the third week.

This year they reopened even earlier, I believe it was the weekend after Labor Day or so. It seems they want to milk Halloween for all it's worth these days.
