Refurbs & Closures

I'm heading to the wonderful word of the Land October 18-21 and saw that Indy will be closed the whole time but BTMRR was not listed as a closure. I thought I read somewhere that BTMRR would be closed down in early September and not reopen until Spring of 2013 due to updates and refurbs. Was I wrong or is there some truth to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I will look for the post, But due to Indy taking longer than anticipated they delayed BTMRR.

We leave in a few days, and I've been checking on closures. Haven't seen anything on BTMRR so I'm hoping it will be open for a while!

Any BTMRR rumor is just that -- a rumor. And rumor has it that It will close down early in 2013 and be down most of the year. I believe this came from Al Lutz.

I think there was also some confusion because Big Thunder Ranch was down for a refurb, to prepare for the Halloween carnival, and I think some people thought that BTMRR was down as well, but it wasn't.

There are some rumors that it will be down next year, but so far they are just rumors!

I agree. I'm leaving next Wednesday for my 1st Disneyland trip and was really looking forward to the Indy ride, since "the World" doesn't have it. So was a little sad when I found out that it was going to be closed.
