We go in just over two weeks, and I just saw that the Casey Jr. Train and the Storybook Canal boats just jumped onto the refurbishment schedule from April 29th through several weeks into May. (As well as Minnie's House, which just showed up recently.) My question is, do they often add more stuff up into the last 2 weeks before? These seem like short refurbishments, so it seems like they should have already been on the schedule. Any ideas?

They still haven’t decided on a schedule for Toontown, ROA and Main Strret Vehicles. It could all be open or closed, no idea yet :-(

Why do they like to give me anxiety?? ;-)

Darn, just saw your post .... that's during our stay. But good to know now, so we're not as disappointed when we get there.

I am so disappointed
This is our first trip with our 4 year old granddaughter and I have been telling her all about them. So bummed. :sad1:

Yep. They often do stuff like that. Welcome to Disneyland :sad2: And I agree there is no reason they shouldn’t be planned much further ahead but alas Disneyland does not agree.

You never know what a kid will attach to in the park! Hopefully she latches onto the other rides. Mickey’s Philharmagic is coming to DCA “in April”. Maybe that can be an extra-special experience for you two since you can see it together? It’s quite adorable in WDW! I don’t see an opening day announced yet though.

Losing stuff last minute is very tough but I find concentrating on everything else when I find out helps to lift my trip planning spirits. I’m sure you’ll still have a magical trip!

Haha, jokes on them! A dining package times seven people is definitely not in the budget. ;-) I just don’t like surprises.

She is pretty brave
She goes to the local theme park here with her daddy so with any luck she will love Guardians! LOL wishful thinking I am sure!

Where did you see this posted?

Did they do the Hyperspace overlay on Space Mtn for May the 4th last year? I wonder if they'll do it this year, and leave it up through the opening of SWGE.

If the Canal Boats are not running, is there a way to walk around the tiny villages or view them from above?

Casey Jr has a good view of them from above. But it also appears to be under refurb at the same time. There is normally no way to walk around the Storybook Land villages. Maybe you could see a bit from Dumbo?
