Refurbishment Schedule



Walt Disney World® Resort*

Festival of the Lion King Theater at Disney's Animal Kingdom® will be closed for refurbishment Aug. 25 - Sept. 19, 2003. The theater is scheduled to re-open to Guests on Sept. 20, 2003.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at the Magic Kingdom® will be closed starting Aug. 24, 2003 after Park close and will re-open to Guests on Nov. 22, 2003.

The Rock N' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith at Disney-MGM Studios will close for refurbishment on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003 and is scheduled to re-open to Guests on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2003.

The Twilight Zone Tower of TerrorTM at Disney-MGM Studios will close for refurbishment on Monday, Sept. 22, 2003 and is scheduled to re-open to Guests on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003.

*Please be advised that refurbishment information is subject to change without notice and should be confirmed just prior to visiting the Park.

Someone on the community board posted the Disney Travel Agent site, but you need to log in, etc. They said there were new maps, some of resorts, some aerial views...do you have access to that? Could you post some if so?

Thanks! Luckily, TOT is opening back up on our last full day at WDW (9/27). This is one of my favorites - I'd be so disappointed if I didn't get to do it!!!

My 6 year old son was really looking forward to TOT, but we will be there from Sep 22 - Sep 26. Just missed it by a day on each end!

Thanks Shannon just had to rejig my timetable & swap MGM & Epcot around!My DSis is a newbie & as she's only coming for 2 weeks she would have missed out on TOT,the rest of us are ok as we're staying longer so will get another visit in !!
