Refurbishment at Wilderness Lodge in May

We love the Wilderness Lodge and wish to go back, but we don't want the construction work to ruin our stay there.
How bad is it? Is there a certain type of room we should avoid?

Great question, we still have to decide where we are staying this August, DH wants to go back but I've read several trip advisor reviews that says that the construction is really major and has impacted their stay. I have also read some reviews that say its less crowded and not that bad so it will good to hear people here weigh in.

The new villas open in July. Pool reopen is not yet scheduled. I would expect it to be much more crowded when Copper Creek starts booking, as DVC Units run at 95%+ occupancy.

Wilderness Lodge construction in the main lodge should be done by August. The Disney Vacation Club portion - Copper Creek Villas is due to open for booking starting July 19th.

Half of the Lodge proper is becoming DVC. The hotel rooms are not being refurbished.

It is scheduled for "summer." And while it will not have a waterslide, it is not going to be a typical quiet pool.

We just booked a may stay, fingers crossed
