Refurbished rooms at BWV and beach club

Anyone have any pics of the refurbished rooms? I know its currently being done. Wondering if anyone got a sneak peak while there?

Recently at BWV. The work started mid-Jan on about half the fifth floor rooms. You could not get any "sneak peak" because all entry ways to that half of the fifth floor were inaccessible by anyone other than the workers.

At BCV, at least, it isn't currently being done. I think they said in a couple months. I just stayed there 2 weeks ago, and the carpeting in the hall was still the same old dingy carpet. And most CMs I talked with didn't even know about any plans.

When I emailed Dvc regarding BWV completion they told me August. We'll see!

I just returned from BWV last week. We accidentally walked through the construction zone on the fifth floor because we heard awful sandblaster-type sounds coming from the ceiling of our fourth floor room and took the stairs up to see what was going on. They're remodeling them all the way down to the flooring (thus the crazy loud sounds) so all we saw were gutted rooms.

Believe BCV reno starts in March and will be completed by end of July.

I just returned from BWV last week. I'm surprised since they did a total gut job in 2009/2010.

New kitchens? Rug or flooring you think? Wow they are going to look so different. I liked the villas the way they were but I did think they were dated. Can't wait to see!

Honestly I can't recall about the kitchen but the floors were stripped down to the concrete and the worker we talked to said the noise we heard was due to the tile removal so it really seemed to me like they were doing at least a full decorating overhaul. The hallway carpeting and decor remained though I'm just talking about inside the rooms.

I called BWV direct and asked what kind of construction was going on, the CM had to find out, the only thing she could find was that they were working on it until August 2015 .
So I called MS after verifying that there is construction on going until August 2015. there putting in the fifth sleeper under the TV and re-doing the tile in the shower and possible other soft goods.
My May trip was to stay at BWV 1 bedroom , but I have now changed it to OKW 1 bedroom.


If anyone could get picture of the remodel that would be great.

I'll be at BWV in 28 days. It will only be a deluxe studio. If you don't hear of anything before then, I can try to remember to take pics.

I'm guessing they're going with the vinyl type flooring in the living room to replace the carpet and tile elsewhere like they did with VWL.

Oh dear. DH slips very easily so the loss of carpet is not good for him. We usually put down a path of rubber mats in the bathroom.

The bedrooms should still have carpet if it's like VWL, and the picture of the upcoming BCV looks like it is the same - carpet in bedroom and the vinyl plank flooring or something similar in the living area. I only saw a picture for a refurb studio at BWV so maybe it won't be done the same but it seems like the trend.

From the other thread, I got the impression they were ONLY updating the studios. This would mean 1 bedroom sleeps 4, but 5th can bring their own bed. But studio would sleep 5...does this mean they'd provide towels for the 5th? Or you'd still have to bring your own

IMHO it sure would be nice if they redid the shower's in the 1BR's. Every one that I've stayed in recently really could use a rehab from the tile to the doors which usually have rusted at the bottom corners.

They are doing all the rooms but they are only adding the murphy bed to the studios. 1 BR's will be the same occupancy etc as they are now so plan to pack your own or pay for another towel pack.
