Refurbed rooms at DLH

Do the new rooms at Disney hotel cost more?

No. They are the same price for the same categories as the other rooms/towers, at least as of now. We paid $149/night for our refurbed room (ap standard rate for Jan).

Does anyone know if they still have the old rooms too, will there still be old rooms in Dec.? While the new rooms are beautiful, I kind of liked the look of the old rooms better and since this would be my first trip at the Disneyland Hotel, it would be cool for me to have one of the older rooms, but I am not going to make a big deal out of it. Just thought I would ask. Thanks in advance.

We can easily fit in here- I'm really looking fwd to it now. I saw a MousePlanet article w/ photos of the couch converted to a twin. I hope we get a chance at one of the new rooms by the time we go in Sept.!

Yes, they still have old rooms and will have them at the end of this yr even. The hotel will not be completed for another yr or two.

I wasn't super excited when I first saw the refurbed rooms. But the more I see them the more excited I am. I hope we get one of the new rooms in June.

I absolutely have to get one of those pillows!! Does anyone know if they sell them?

thanks for posting pics of the new rooms.. While the are lovely... this means the 1 think that set apart Disneyhotel from the Grand was the dark, woodsy, decor with less Disney touch.... And now.....
i do like the head board and hope not all of the rooms look exactly like that.

We are staying at the DLH in June & booked through Southwest Vacations. I've never stayed on-site in DL before, but I remember that when we stayed on-site at WDW I had to call to make special room requests. Should I call DLH to request a refurbished room prior to our arrival? Or just wing it & request it at check-in & hope for the best (we will be checking in on a Sunday evening after 7:00 pm).

These pics remind me of the room we stayed in last may at WDW's Wilderness Lodge.

We are staying at DLH in june, I would love to stay in one of those rooms. Will my chances of getting one be bigger if I call in advance or should I just ask when I check in. From reading this thread, it sounds like you have to be in the right place at the right time get one

So many people were excited about the lovely new pillows that I had to come back and share my find on ebay today. Someone is selling a set of the pillow cases from the refurbed rooms at DLH. I really hope it's not someone who snuck off with a set...

I am thinking about bidding on the fabric. It is the fabric used to make the comforters in the "old" DLH rooms. Same seller as the pillow cases.
