We got a lovely email today that we would be refunded $28 woohoo (from our upcoming cruise which is paid in full). My question will the money be refunded or held in my on board account which I could use towards my tips???

These refunds are refunded, not held for your onboard account. They should go back to the method of payment you used last.

That's what I thought but on another forum people were saying I'd have to request the refund and it would be held in meantime. I'd prefer it in my online account.

Refunds of this type (typically a reduction in port fees/taxes) are paid back to the original form of payment.

Refunds for cancelled cruises are handled differently.

I had a similar
situation and I asked that the money be applied to a different reservation that I was in the process of paying off. They had to look it up but they ended up doing it for me. You don't necessarily have to take a refund if you've got another reservation that you're paying off
