We are getting 5 day passes with our package thru WDTC. If we only use 4 days is there any way of getting a refund for the extra day?

Typically these passes (5-day) are at a discounted price off of 5 regular day admissions to the parks, therefore, I don't believe Disney offers a refund on these tickets if they are not used.

No - I don't believe you get a refund. The tix also expire 13 days after first use.

If you're going this year, the 5-day hoppers are $5 more than the 3-day hoppers, and there are no 4-day hoppers (except for the special when they had 4-day hoppers for price of 3-day hoppers). Next year, they do have 3/4/5-day hoppers, but as I stated, I don't believe you'd get any $ back.

The short answer is no, they're not going to refund your unused days.

Given when I think your package was purchased you likely have the 5-for-3 tickets, which means you paid the price of the 3 day tickets and received 2 days free. If that's the case then since you have 2 free days there's absolutely no way they're going to give you any refund.

If they were to allow a refund, they'd likely do it based on the current ticket cost. They don't have a 4 day ticket so the best you could hope for is the cost of a 3 day and a single day (parkhoppers all). The 3-day is $129, the single day hopper is $69 for a total of $199 USD. I'm guessing that you paid less than that for your tickets, so therefore there wouldn't be a refund.

But really, it's not Disney's fault if you don't use all the days of your ticket package, so there's no reason for them to refund. They provide you with the opportunity to use them, it's up to you to do it. If you choose not to - whether because you've arranged a schedule that doesn't allow for it or illness or whatever - it's got nothing to do with Disney. They've provided the park for you, you purchased the tickets, it's not their fault if you don't use them.

Harsh, but true.

Thanks! That's what I figured!

I don't know what day/time you are arriving and leaving but since you can't get a refund even if you arrive late at night you might be able to enjoy the park for an hour or two and not feel like you are "wasting" the day or same on the day you leave, you might be able to get in a day or two.

If you weren't sentimental about keeping your used ticket, you might be able to make someone really happy by giving them your remaining day (like just wandering through your hotel lobby or Downtown Disney). I know you could do that at WDW because the tickets aren't really coded to a specific person. Could you do that at Disneyland too?

No matter how many days you'll go, focus on what a great time it's going to be!

Well I'm hoping to use our 5th day on our arrival day. However we arrive at 12:30 California time which is 3 hour behind our time at home. By the time we get to the hotel and check-in it will be about 5:00 our time and with a 16-month old who's been on a plane since 7 a.m. not sure if we will want to go to the park for supper or stay in the hotel. Same with the night we return from San Diego. I was thinking of perhaps using the 5th day than but again depends on DS.

That first night might be the perfect time to just go to the park and watch the parade & fireworks. Then on the following days, you'll be able to visit the popular attractions while everyone else is watching the parade & fireworks. Also if DCA is open, the little ones will probably enjoy the Electrical Parade, something you might normally not wait for.

Would there be a parade and fireworks taht day? We are arriving on Wednesday, Feb 9th.

Since they started the "5 for 3" deals it has allowed us to be able to go to the parks on our arrival day. We love being able to do this. Even if we have been up since 4am and driven 10 hours it is still nice to be able to have a few hours in the park.

I would deffiently try to use the "extra" day even if it means you and your DH just wonder around the park with DS in a stroller.
