I have booked 2 seperate nights in early April at RPR. Payed the deposits on my Credit card at original rate - $269+tax. Since then I've had an AAA rate applied -down to $242.10+tax -for both nights. :thumbsup2
I'm wondering how I get the 'excess' deposit refunded? Will they put it back on my credit card at check in? Anyone out there who's stayed single nights and had the same problem?

I am not sure of the exact procedure, but I think they were going to refund my money and then charge the new deposit when I switched to AAA. I did not want them to do this as I plan to have the entire stay paid for in advance. I had to speak to accounting to make sure they did not refund and recharge.

Keep in mind that any money that is refunded will not have the same exchange rate as the money you paid them (unless the exchange rate just happens to be the same). If dealing with foreign currencies, I would just request they not do the refund/recharge method unless you know your money is as strong as it was when you made the original deposit.
