So sorry about your Dad. It's never easy to say goodbye, no matter how prepared you are. It just seems in comprehendible that someone who has always been there, suddenly isn't. Sending lots of prayers your way.

I am so sorry to hear about your father. I am also waiting to get that dreaded 'phone call' any day. My fathers has alzheimers, end stage. It is a horrible and slow death. The fact is that as family members, you end up 'losing' them twice. This is so painful and sad. I have already 'lost' him to alzheimers, he no longer knows who I am. He has very little dignity left. No, I have to 'lose' him in body. I it so very difficult to deal with. My prayers are with you and your family. It is just so hard to say 'good bye' for the second and final time.

I'll keep you in my prayers. I lost my father at 11 to cancer. I'm 42 now, and there are still times it feels like yesterday. I miss him.
