what has been your experience for a refund for a resort reservation?
i cancelled one last week & called disney today to see why it has not shown up. they told me it could take 2 months!!!
seriously?

I cancelled a package and the $200 was back to my CC (Amex) in about 3 business days. How long has it been since you cancelled?

It all depends on the bank/card used. WDW usually issues the refund within 2 business days. I've had some cards take 2 billing cycles to post to our account and others take 3 days. Any delay is not on WDW's end.

I have also spent time stressing about it taking too long only to discover I'd actually used a different card and it was back on there. I felt sheepish when the CM told me the last 4 digits of the CC it had been put back on. (And I'd been polite when I called - I was not yelling. Just concerned. I still felt sheepish.)

You're complaining about the wrong business if you are referring to how long Disney takes. Disney issues the refund quick. Some credit card companies tend to not issue them to their customers in a timely manner. Some are better than others. It's real obvious if you use various cards to book with Disney, like I do. Some I get back in 2, 3 days some take 2, 3 weeks. Guess which ones I don't use again?

The CM probably didn't say two months, rather "two biling cycles". They say this because they have no control over the credit card company and if you cancel just before your statement is printed, it won't be on that one but should be on the next one "two billing cycles " later. I usually see the refund in less than a week when I check online and have never checked my actual paper statement.

i cancelled on Monday and money was put back on gift cards by Tuesday. 1 day
