Refund for cancelled cruise?

I've searched and can't find the answer to this. Does anyone know if you can get a check for a refund, or does it have to go back on the credit card used for the original payment?

They originally said it was going back to the credit card it was purchased with and if that wasn’t available it would be a check. However yesterday I received an update email saying it was going out shortly as a check and the card I used to purchase is still open.

It went back to my original form credit card. However, check your credit cards policy on refunds. Basically, it would stay as a credit in my statement until after 3 months. After 3 months i could then transfer money into bank.

I was told by Disney Cruise that it had to go back to the credit card you used to pay for the cruise. I checked with my bank and they said they would refund the credit amount to me once received from Disney.

Ours went back to the credit card but you can ask your credit card company to cut you a check for the refund that is what we did.

i did this too with my MasterCard. Had my check in a week and deposited back into my account. The refund only too 4 days after requesting refund from dcl.

Went back on to my Disney Visa, as that is how I paid. I then called Chase to get a check cut and sent to me

Your refund will come from DCL back onto the form(s) of payment used — credit card, gift card, etc. How long that takes may depend on the financial institution. Have you checked your accounts for any credits? It may come in multiple smaller amounts instead of one large chunk.
