Do all the staterooms have refrigerators? If so, how large are they? ::MickeyMo

The refrigerators in the staterooms are the "servi-bar" variety (that was their original intent), and somewhere between 2 and 3 cubic feet. As a refrigerator, they are not very efficient (they are quiet though). They'll keep cold things cold, but don't do too well to cool ambient items to fridge temperatures very quickly.

If you are interested in refrigerating soda, plan to cool first with ice then put them in the fridge and they'll hold.

I've read that some staterooms had better cooling capacity, pehaps by better or more recently maintained equipment?

Fknaut--

On four cruises we've always taken canned Coke to have in our stateroom fridge. We have never placed these cans on ice prior to placing them in the fridge and they have always been very cold by the next day.

Disney themselves told me that if it is something like medicine that needs to be kept at a cold temp to let them know and they would move afridge into the room since the ones in there are cooling boxes and they don't keep it cold enough not to spoil.

Found it...in the Passporter, page 71

8 inches deep, 12 inches wide, 16.5 inches high. Chills to 55 degrees F / 13degrees C.

On the Magic...

since the November retrofit, the fridges are now cooler and require ice to cool anything down (including medicine).

What about this statement from DCL:

"Coolers are not permitted except for those needed for medications, baby food, or items related to dietary constraints. Items must be pre-packaged, un-opened, and do NOT require any food prep from the kitchen. Coolers filled with personal items (e.g. soda, chips, candy, etc.) may NOT be brought onboard. "

We have always brought our own beer/soda in a soft sided cooler and have never had a problem taking it onboard as a carry on.....Andy
