Refrigerators in Value Resorts?

Hi everyone! Is it possible to get a refrigerator at the value resorts?? My husband is type 1 diabetic and needs a refrigerator for his insulin. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Yes you can get a refrig for medical reasons. They should waive the daily charge if it is for medical reasons. Some of them though are very small for medical reasons. Not large enough for milk, water, etc.

We requested a fridge (and paid for it as well) just for convenience not medical when we stayed at All star sports and movies. If you choose to pay for a regular fridge-ours was a decent size and we did fit juice, sodas, waters and even leftovers from one of our meals.

We are booked POP in 2 weeks; when I made ressie and was requesting room location etc , I told CM about my severe asthma (reason why rom location request). She volunteered a free refrig. to me! I did not ask... she said if you have med. reasons, we provide you a fridge for free. Of course, I said ok...

I am not sure which value you are staying at, but on my January and June visits to POP Century, I needed a fridge for my medicine. It was provided free of charge and was a typical dorm room size. Hope that helps.

Be sure to have your request noted on your reservation and ask again when you check in. My confirmation letter stated I needed the fridge but when we checked in, the CM didn't see it noted. She had it sent up quickly.

Just a side note, make sure you have plenty of ice packs in your cooler as you transport your medicine. It took the fridge quite a while to get cold enough for me to put my medicine safely in it. Just by chance I had packed 2 of the freezer packs they use to mail it to me.

Thank you for all the help! We will definitely be bringing ice packs, since we will have to carry his insulin around the parks. I will make sure to have it noted that we need the refrigerator for medical reasons. I don't mind paying for it, but if they want to give me one for free, I'll take it!
