I have heard that the fully accessible handicapped room at the All Star Resorts have refrigerators in them. Is this true or do I need to make special arrangements?
I'm not sure about ASMovies or Sports but the last two times we've stayed at ASMusic which was after the renovation, neither time did our fully accessible room have a refrigerator in the armoire. I think now it would be set on the floor if requested. I heard that some nondisabled people were reserving an accessible room because they wanted a free fridge. I"m not sure if this is why they were taken out or if they were just a problem to maintain and clean.---Kathy
When we stayed at ASMo we specifically asked for a fridge for DS's meds and DH's cold packs and they supplied a free standing fridge, only after filling it up did we discover there was one in a cabinet too, so I assumed all the handicapped accessible rooms have one built in. The free standing one was larger though.
I would make sure to make it clear that you need one for medical reasons.
If you were in a Moderate, they are in every room.
But, for the Value resorts, I have seen both people who posted they had one and people who didn't.
