Refridgerator at RPH?

I'm sure the answer is on here somewhere but I'm running short of time to search. My dd just got prescribed a medicine that needs to be refridgerated. I know they have a mini bar but usually you can't store anything in there. I know I could call but it is a surprise for dd and she is home with me until we leave. No time to call she won't hear. Thanks.

you can request it at check in but if you are going at a busy time, do the call in advance for a request.

you don't want to check in and find all the mini fridges are taken.

I called yesterday. We check in today. They are charging me $15/day even though it is for meds Oh well, I have to have it. So pay for RPH and have to pay $15/day for parking and 15/day for fridge. Just for 3 nights that adds $90 plus tax to my bill. UGH. Anyway, thanks for the help and info. I was hoping there was one already in the room.

You should just buy a cheap styro cooler and fill it with ice and put the medicine in it. We have done that in the past and had no problems since our daughter is in the emergency medical field and told us to do that.

if the op has amoxicillian for the child, that med can be put in the mini bar.
as long as that med is kept chilled, it will be fine.
same goes if the meds are insulin.

you are charged for the mini bar if you use anything in it.
you can explain to the check in TM that you do want the bar key but only will use it to store a bottle of medicine.

that way you can avoid the fridge charge.



you know, you really should call back and talk to a supervisor.
or talk to a manager of the front desk at the hotel.

there is a good possibility they will waive the charge due to the need of keeping the meds chilled.
