When I order the AP vouchers, what date does it activate on? The date when we hand the voucher in at the park, or the date we order/receive the vouchers. We're planning an August 13th trip this year and may go in July next year. So I would like to see if we can extend the AP date as long as possible, but I also need the DDE card to arrive before we leave. And I need the voucher number to order the DDE card, ugh.

Any suggestions of when to order what?

I believe its the day you activate it at the parks where as the DDE card is activated the day you get it. If you go the the DVC member site it will explain the rules about the AP.

Your AP starts the day you actually get your AP - not the day you order / receive your voucher. We ordered our vouchers online last September for a December visit, turned them in at the GR area in DTD and they are dated as of that date.

Order the DDE card mid-July. That way it will arrive before your leave for your trip and it will expire at the end of August, 2007. You can call DDE early in July to find out the exact date they switch over ot the August expiration. (If you order the DDE too early in July, your DDE card will expire at the end of July, 2007). They'll tell you to allow 3 weeks for the card to arrive, but it often only takes between 1 and 2 weeks.

If you don't get your card before you leave for WDW, call DDE and arrange for them to send a temporary card over to Epcot's Guest Services.

Best wishes -

P.S. Be sure to choose the mail option when you order your voucher. You'll need the numbers off the back to order the card. Do not use the "will call" option. The email confirmation number does not provide the info you need to order the DDE.
