Hello again - so glad the stroller has been custom fit for you! I had wondered if a product we beta-tested might work for you. It's called a "KIDSERT" and you can use it as an insert for an umbrella stroller. Our son with CP was one of the first testers years ago. It was developed with the pediatric rehab hospital that follows our son here in Toronto.

Eek! I just checked it out and I've seen retail prices from $80-141 US (and more expensive here in Canada). No wonder the family we gave ours to was so happy...

Have a great trip!

Woo hoo! As a fellow O.T. I just knew yours would want to make something for your son and that it really wouldn't be difficult. Hopefully you can enjoy using the stroller insert at home too as well as having one less thing to worry about on your vacation. ---Kathy

Using the stroller as a wheelchair is an excellent idea. I would not have thought you could do this. The stroller does not provide him with enough support for his reflux. I will have to stand him on my legs or prop him on the ground.

Would one of those sit and stand strollers (where they have the spot for the child to stand) work? You may be able to get one secondhand.
