Refilling water bottles

We have flexible water bottles, of the sort that collapse for packing. They’d be awkward to fill from a cup or water fountain, though I suppose we could manage. I’ve been spoiled by bottle filling stations both at the Grand Canyon and at MIT.

With free water no longer available from the Freestyle machines, what’s the best option for refilling these bottles? Bathroom sinks (yuck)? Water fountains? Cups from counter service? Other options?

Does the Freestyle refill timer apply to water? I really hate to buy one of their refillable cups, since we’ll only be there for one day, but with temperatures in the 90s, I want to make sure we stay hydrated.

Assume water fountains or counter service for refilling the bottles

I have no personal experience with this but read some past trip reports to find out what others have done for refilling botttles

I do not like the taste of the water in the parks or hotels so I buy cases of bottle water for my trips

We just asked for a cup of water at the fountain stations. The water was much better tasting than the Disney water we experienced a few years ago.
