Anyone noticed they made the popcorn buckets smaller recently too?

At this I ran downstairs to fetch the two Disney popcorn buckets we have- one from 2008 with a Toy Story Mania theme, one from last year with Mine Train- they're both the exact same size.

They changed them this year. We went the beginning of May and saw the smaller buckets being sold in the MK at the popcorn stand in front of guest relations. DH pointed out how much smaller they were and we passed on buying it.

Boo! We get there September 2nd. My DS can eat his weight in popcorn and we always have it for parades at MK. Hopefully it will stick around.

Disney's refillable buckets are only refillable for 1 day. How much popcorn can you eat in 1 day?

Don't know if it's the picture but that does not look like a "bucket" of popcorn, looks more like a large cup full of popcorn.

I was hoping they'd start having the containers like tokyo disney does. I'm a little disappointed.

It's a shame that it only lasts a day. Was wondering how much are the cardboard type containers? If they are cheaper why not just buy those and tip them in a container you have or am I missing something?

I can't see doing the bucket for one day. If it was offered for an entire trip (say, $20 for 5 or 6 days and they track it the way they do the mugs) then it'd be totally worth it for us!

This was exactly my thought! 3 of our 4 kiddos love popcorn, and the hubs and I do, too, but not as our only snack for the day. We could eat it every day, though. It would be great to bring a bucket home from the parks, then take it to the outdoor movies at Fort Wilderness, or just munch it around our campsite at night.

So popcorn cost is $4.00, right? Looks like you start saving money on bucket #4 (I think--math is hard).

Ha, I say that all the time! How the math works out will depend on the sizes. Are the buckets generally the same size as the $4 popcorn or larger? We've never bought the buckets. If the bucket held more, it would work out to a better deal faster.

My daughter and I can eat our weight in popcorn, so I can see us doing this one day of our trip.

According to a cm selling popcorn in epcot. Refills are any park, any day. Not a same day only refill.

No new buckets so old ones may be valid

I'm a local annual pass holder who puts 3-4 empty buckets in her backpack and buys the cardboard filled popcorn. The amount of popcorn comes up to an inch or two below the top of the buckets I use (depending on how much I lose to the wind). If I can use those buckets for an even less expensive refill- then YAHOO!!!! (& in case you are wondering, I take a large plastic bag to tote the now filled buckets to my car)

They changed brands of popcorn last year. I actually miss the old popcorn but the new brand is pop secret and it tastes like the lightly salted one they sell in the stores (unless it's a stand selling flavored popcorn, then it's that with flavors)

They might have changed the bucket. No new design but they seem a little shorter now so I would expect to need to buy a new bucket.
