Refillable mugs?

I'm just wondering if Universal resorts has refillable mugs like Disney's all star resort has. Where you buy a mug and then get it filled for free as long as you are staying there. I'm leaving Sunday for Universal Orlando again!!!!!!!!

They have refillable mugs in the parks,, but not at the resorts. Also, I don't think the refills are free,, there is a charge for them,, altho not a huge charge. Have a great trip

I read on another site that they do have refillable mugs at the park, for 9.99 w/FREE refills.......... Don't know firsthand, but I read that just the other day. If anyone knows for certain let us know. Please!!!

Well I know that the park has it, i am wondering if the resorts do. The actual hotel.

The hotels do not offer refillable mugs. RPR does allow free coffee refills till 12N when you show your receipt. The RPR also has free lemonade in the lobby during the day.

I didn't see free lemonaide in February when we were there,, will look closer this time. No refillable mugs at the Universal Hotels,, but hey, I would gladly give up free refills for FOTL. Am checking out the club level this trip, and I think you do get drinks there. But I supposed you are kinda paying for them really :lol.

I honestly didn't check out the refillable mugs at the parks when we were there, because I didn't want to have to lug the things around. I had thought you still had to pay for the refills tho,, am not certain about that tho.

Teris, I think the lemonade at RPR started in may or june.

The park refills are 89 cents (around there) for the day of and $1.79 or $1.99 for any day after. I dont think they have the free refills anymore but I could be wrong.

Portofino has a daily lobby offering. It was going on when we stayed there in March and I believe it still is. One day they had gelatto from the Geleteria and another day they had a wine tasting. When you check in be sure to request the written sheet of guest entitlements. Its a nice way to see what the hotel offers and when.

Jessica............ do you know if there is seperate check in at RP for Loews members........... someone said on a post that there was, but when I called to make resv. the girl said she had no idea!!!! ? If anyone knows for certain please let me know. Thanks

If you are going with kids, then they may be able to get a refillable mug as part of the Grade A Kids Program. Mine got mugs last weekend at Portofino and were able to fill em up at any hotel restaurant with a soda fountain. Bring the report cards to get the perk.

Thanks for posting that. I plan to bring my kids report cards. Is that all they got for it and did it depend on age?

No - they got wrist bands and kush balls and other small stuff. It was really nice.

How does the report card thing work? Is there an age limit? Mine are 10 and 13. The 10 year old did great, the 13 yr old's was OK. How many A's do they need to qualify? Is this available for everybody? I have the Entertainment rate at the RP and I did sign up for the Loew's card, but I am at the lowest level of that. Free drinks for the kids would be awesome!

Also, Does anybody know if I can still refill the mugs I got at a Disney resort about 5 years ago? They were the ones where you buy them and got free or reduced price refills? I don't remember how that worked, but we are staying there a few days too.

We were at disney in Feb. I know, seems like a lifetime ago..... but, we "re-used" our mugs that we had purchase on a prior trip. We bought them at the hotel, and used them at the hotel over and over on both trips. The mugs were identical. I've seen a lot of post about them switching to different type mug......... no free refills........ etc, so I'd keep watching to see what someone who has been more recently says...... but we used ours 5 months ago with NO problems and refills were free!!!!!!!!!

I meant when I said the mugs were identical, that the mugs they were selling were identical to the one's we had purchased the year before............. just to clarify

We bought tall refillable cups with the super heros on them. They were green/purple lid and the tall straws and cost $4.99 ($5.34 with tax). Refills were around $1.25, but we don't like too much soda so we alway asked for ice and water and it was free. Those mugs were lifesavers in the heat in July! Definitely with the $5.00 and a great soveniour~!
