Just read that they replaced the refillable mugs so they no longer have handles. Some are upset by this, but I actually like it, more like a travel coffee mug. I do think it will make carrying multiple mugs more difficult though.
Yup, I have seen multiple pictures on FB. It was definitely nice to be able to carry multiple mugs at once with the handles. We leave them in our room when we are in the parks, but getting food at the food court and carrying them (since they always topple over on the tray) was easier with the handles.
I wonder why the change? I'm sure going to miss the handle; it's how I carry multiple mugs at a time. On a good note, I'll be able to store them at home easier because I can never get rid of any.
yeah, sometimes I take everyones mug to refill them during our afternoon break, I could still carry them all, but it will be more cumbersome without the handles. I guess yesterday was the last day selling mugs with handles.
I will be honest, I don't love this! I feel as though it will be more awkward, plus ad condensation in the heat and I guarantee I will be dropping them
Rats. Need to be on the lookout for a clever square bag that holds 3 or 4 cups upright. I am sure the change is because cups instead of mugs costs $.05 less per mug to Disney. Now the big question is - do they hold the same amount of liquid? Because the last change that reduced the volume was way worse!
What was that about freestyle machines? That would be, in a word, awesome.
When we were on our Fantasy cruise last year, we received a drink holder (nicely decorated as a DCL ship) as one of our FE gifts. It came in handy carrying drinks from deck 11 to our stateroom. People will need to start bringing drink carriers to carry multiple mugs since there are no handles anymore.
