Do you think the refillable mug is worth investing in if you want coffee every morning and maybe another drink or two in the day? If coffee is $2.99 a cup, it seems like it could pay for itself over 6 days. I am trying to decide if I should invest in one when I get there

If you would buy a cup of coffee in the QS every morning and your resort for 6 days that would be about your break even point. If you think you would like to have a soda or something else, then you would be in the plus from there.

We love the refillable mug, probably because we drink at !east two to three cups of coffee a day (two at breakfast time and one after dinner) plus at least one cold drink during the day. But I don't mind the walking, even if our room is far from the food court.

The refillable mug costs $17 for length of stay. If you're there for 6 days you'd pretty much break even with only a drink per day +1. Two drinks a day and you're way ahead of that. We do coffee (usually 2 each) in the morning, iced tea or lemonade during our afternoon breaks, and an evening tea or soft drink in the late evening. I think that makes it a pretty good deal for us. But some people are at really spread out resorts, so getting to the refill points is more work than its worth.

We love the refillable mugs - especially the new design that came out in the Fall, they are super cute. The past few years we've had the ddp, so it was included. This year we aren't on the dining plan, but will be buying them. We refill our mugs more than once a day, so it will be worth it for us. Coffee in the morning, soda or iced tea in the afternoon and again at night before going to bed we fill them again - definitely worth it for us.

To me it's totally worth it. I want coffee in the morning and usually decaf in the evening, so that's twos separate charges per day without the mug. Of course I don't buy that without the mug, so the mug makes me happier.

And then you get a souvenir cup. :)

I love the mugs - but only for a longer stay now that they have standardized the pricing structure. I usually get one or two mugs of diet coke in the morning and one or two in the evening, depending on what we're doing. I still buy drinks in the parks too, but the mug at least provides a souvenir and a way to save a little on my caffeine addiction :P I really like the new design and will be getting one on our upcoming trip. My biggest issue is that I don't have the cabinet space for many more mugs, but I like having them! So I need to figure out what to do with my old ones :P

We love them too. We drink coffee in the AM and then some soda in the afternoon. It's always a great deal.

Depending on what resort and where your room is, is it worth the walk?

If you are a long walk just use the coffee machine in the room at a moderate or deluxe. Of course at a value there is no coffee machine, but it can be a long walk. I used to walk down to get coffee while my partner was in the shower most mornings.

What are the prices of the fountain drinks, coffee at the resort food courts? We are debating on getting one for each of us, 4 total. Can they be filled with milk?

Any pics of the new design?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong (I'm sure) but my understanding is that most mods and some deluxes are hearing the criticisms about long walks and are adding additional refill spots when possible. CSR and CBR have refill points at their main pools.

We are in the parks so much that they don't really help us since you can't refill them in the parks. When we drove we'd fill them, drink on the way to the park and then again at night. But since we've converted to bus we don't seem to do that anymore b/c we don't want to carry them around all day. I use them every day for my coffee at home though. If the design is different than the one we got last fall I might be tempted to get one.

Refillable mugs are pretty standard for us, we like to have the option of coffee in the a.m. and soda or tea later on. I think the convenience makes them worth it (standing in line to pay can take forever).

I'm going to get one too, I think it's part nostalgic too as then very first time I went to disney as a kid I remember getting hot chocolate in my mug before bed :p

I love them and use mine at home every day. In fact I am drinking iced tea in it right now!

I think coffee was about 2.50 and sodas maybe 2.19? Milk is NOT something that is in a machine. You have to buy milks individually. Sure, put them in the mug, but you'll be paying for them. :)

I think it's worth the cost, but I drink a few sodas a day, so for me the mug pays for itself within a two or three days. DW would say it's not worth it since she doesn't drink soda or coffee.
