I would just like to pre-face this thread by stating I am not trying to bring back a mug from an old vacation. I actually have a very bad habit of letting old refillable mugs gets moldy at work b/c I forget to bring them home. That being said I'm heading down in about a month, and I am hoping that the mug design has changed. I hate the bright colors (red, black, yellow) that they had on the mugs the last 2 times I went (November and June). Does anyone know if they have changed or if they are still using the old ones...

I seem to think the shape changed slightly, but the color and design looks pretty much the same as the ones we got last year. There have been one or two threads about the design since the end of last year, but you would need to do a search for them. I think there were pictures posted. Maybe someone just back can post a pic here for you. :goodvibes

Just as a matter of interest, how do your mugs get mouldy? :confused3

we went twice last year also and in May got the cups with the white bottoms that would look like they would fit in a cup holder.........the ones in the fall were straight down..So I think you must of gotten the present design from what I have been hearing..
I have a slew of cups.....Like 20 or so......will use them outside this summer again with the rug rats that come...they work well for outdoors

I generally never drink the whole coffee mug full of coffee, and I normally forget to take them with me when I leave at the end of the day, because I am carrying so many papers out with me. This results in them accumulating at work, and getting sour milk moldiness....it's really gross.

Okay, I understand. :lmao: I too never get to drink more than a quarter of a cup at work except at lunch time. I too have the copious quantities of paper problem ..... :rolleyes1

I solved it by buying a really small mug. ;)

I would suggest if you want a different one, buying one at the waterparks - but on second thoughts, they are HUGE!!!! And for someone who only manages half a cup, it probably isn't for you and your intended purposes. I did notice that the plastic they make those cups from seems to retain smells. I put hot cocoa into one of ours last year early in the stay. Whenever I open the kitchen unit I am hit by the smell of it. Nothing seems to take it out. Ditto DD's iced tea smell.

Still the same as last year.

No one has posted that the mug has changed. (pretty sure as soon as it is released everyone on DIS will know it). :lmao:
