Refillable mugs - worth it or not?

Generally not worth it unless you are spending a lot of time around the resort. Keep in mind that the mugs really don't hold that much and you must go to the designated spot at your resort to re-fill. You'll find that you've drank half your drink before you get back to your room/pool and it won't take you very long to realize that its really not worth the walk. Instead just purchase a large bottle of your favorite soft drink and keep it in your room.

Are the mugs valid for "legnth of stay"? We always do a split stay, and do not want to have to buy 2 sets on one trip.

Thanks in advance.

Since all the Resorts (expect Coronado Springs) are now selling the YOAMD mugs if you are doing a split stay and purchased them at your 1st Resort, you can now use them at the next Resort you stay at. Now because Coronado Springs does not sell the YOAMD mugs since their dining locations are not owned by WDW, if you were staying there as a 2nd Resort on a split stay you would need to purchase their Resort logo mug. So you could not use the YOAMD mugs over there.

Thanks CR fan, we will be at CBR or POFQ, so we will just take them over with us.

We bought them in Jan at CSR. I am not sure if I would say that they are worth it or not. CRS is huge! And we got stuck in the Ranchos. So to head back to PM to fill the mug (esp after a day of sore feet from the parks) was difficult. DH was at a conference, so he was near PM most of the day. DS and I were in the parks. The mugs do you no good at the parks. We always had that freedom to fill them though. Now that we are home, DH is using them a lot for his morning coffee. He likes the size. I packed them for out coffee this last week when we headed out of town and will pack them again for our trip next week to the river. So their use is continuing!!!!

Dont stay in the Ranchos at CSR and the mugs are more worth it!

We've never bought them. We do a grocery stop to get water bottles and basically drink those during the trip. We don't drink coffee, except for DH's presspot at Kona, and try to stay away from soda. Water is really the best hydrator in the Florida heat.

So, what do you think? Get the mugs or not?

For DH, me, and 3 kiddo's, that would cost us around $75. Is it worth it?

We drive, so we take bottled water, Powerade, juice, and some soft drinks with us, anyway.

Depending on your kids ages if you could get away with them not wanting their own cup,
I would buy 2 cups for you and your DH and pack some fun disposible disney themed cups (specially for the trip) and fill one of the cups and divide
the drink amoung the 3. You can then go back for a refill. Then you will only
have to keep track and carry 2 cups not 5 around.
Then you could save the cost for 3 extra cups, especially if your kids are very young.
I am sure that I will get flamed for this idea--but that is what I would do!!

We do not do the DDP, so they are worth it for us. Plus after my trip, I bring the cup to work and put it on my desk. Bragging or something like that. ::yes::

Worth it for DH and I even with DDP for our meals. We use a Snack Credit for breakfast and use our mugs as our drink as no drink comes with a Snack Credit. Then use our CS for lunch and TS for dinner.

We fill them as we are leaving the food court and DH has his second cup of coffee each day before we hit the parks.

For us, we only find it worth it when we intend to dine at our resort (counter service) and get drinks inthe evening when we return. We do it about 50% of the time. It really depends on where we are staying.
