Refillable Mugs work with Mickey straws?

I can't seem to find a picture that shows the lid well...Is it designed for a straw, specifically one of the Mickey straws?

They are designed to use a straw.

The spiral part of the straw will not fit, it is just a small hole made for a regular size straw.

So, do you know if the straight part would come close to the bottom of the mug, or would there be inches of clearance leaving me sucking air when the mug is half full? I was thinking a Mickey straw would be fun, but am concerned about function.

A full-size Mickey straw will work (I haven't bought one in a while but you used to get them right at your resort's food court, usually around the check-out). I specify size because I know I've seen smaller Mickey straws around property too (like the ones you get with those decorated marshmallow treats). Anyway, yes, the big straws will work with a refillable mug, and if they don't go exactly to the bottom, it's very close.
