Has to be the one you are staying at. There are RFID chips in each one. The Soda machines at the resorts track how much you use them and refills and all that. At least they do for us when we are on the dining plan.

What if you are splitting your stay between two resorts? Can we use the same mugs for both weeks? Our first week we are at BCV and then on to OKW for the second week. If we would have to purchase them twice, I think we will just skip it.
Oh I never knew that. Was this something they implemented right away when they started the chips? I thought they were only good at the resort you were at. I thought people who had split stays in the beginning had problems and had to get separate mugs when they switched resort. Sorry OP! I had no idea they were good at any resort. We only use them at the resort we stay at so I assumed. Thanks for clarifying!Sorry, but this isn't correct info. We used ours - part of our DxDDP - in resorts all over the World (Contemporary, GF, Poly, BC, BWI and AKL, to be precise). The RFID chip tracks across the entire system.
You cannot, of course, refill within the parks, but you can at any resorts.

Don't they have different prices for mugs now according to how many days you want them active for?

So if it's length of stay, how can you use it at another resort on a split stay? Confused...No, they have only length of stay now. Changed a month or so ago. They lowered the price a bit - now $16.49 plus tax. See refillable mug thread on resorts forum for additional details.

Last year we were told you could now use them at any resort for length of activated time and the chip would confirm this. We were staying at OKW but also visited AKL/CSR/BC for dining reservations and collected coffee as we left to take out with us.
I know it's a little awkward sometimes asking questions on these threads without insulting someone! To be honest after dinner if we are heading back to our resort or to watch fireworks somewhere I don't want my coffee (or DD her cocoa) immediately after dinner. We found it really convenient to get our drink from the self serve wherever and take it with us.Im glad I just saw your post. I was really curious as to why anyone would bring their mug to another resort for a drink. I wanted to ask the question, but was having a hard time wording it without sounding rude. I was really just curious. Now I know!!! (and great idea!!)
