Is there a separate drink station at the Villas or will we need to go into the Lodge and refill our drinks there?

You will have to walk over the Roaring Forks which is in the main Lodge. However, it's a very short stroll as the main Lodge and the Villas sit right beside each other. The shortest route is to take the rear exit out of the Villas lobby, walk through the Hidden Springs pool area, and then past the main pool to the entrance into Roaring Forks. I actually enjoy the walk. ;)

I wish all the resorts had a few more mug stations:cutie:

so do I. It would be really nice if we didn't have to make the walk over to RF just to refill a mug. However I can understand why they don't just have one accessible - it would be very easy for someone to "refill" anything. Unless they do a bar code thing like they do or did at the water parks.

I agree. It is a shorter walk along the backside of the villas, but if you happen to get a villa right by the DVC elevator, it only takes a couple of minutes to walk out the side door (on the front) and along the covered walk through the lobby to RF. This is good if it happens to be raining.
