Refillable mugs at the parks.

I seem to remember having a Hulk mug/cup that I believe was refillable, a few years ago.
Is there such a scheme operating at present? It would save carrying a large rucksack into the parks filled with soda bottles.

If you can find it, bring it! You can still get discounted refills for as long as you have the mug.

i bought my dueling dragon mug when they first went on sale.
now that's been quite a few years.

i take it with me and it is still valid for the refill price.

Yes, I have found the mug, it is ready to be packed in the case.

if you plan to buy more or another refillable mug, buy the ones with a handle.

you can loop it with the handle thru a belt or one of those slings you use for the water bottles.

of course you need to use a locker for some of the rides to store it in but for walking around the park it is nice not to have to hold it the entire time.

some of the refillables do not have handles.

i bought my dueling dragon mug for $5.99 but that was way back probably 9 years ago.

you can buy mugs at the carts, in the main merch store at each park and at some of the shops. the carts you see around the rides, carry mugs for sale. you buy the mug with the beverage at some of them.

i did see the sponge bob mug in the shop where jimmy neutron ride empties into. check out the shops where rides emtpy into and you will find that themed mug there.

i might be wrong on this but i think the mugs ran from $8.99 to $11.99 last october. they all hold about the same amount of liquid.

some mugs are more boxy shaped , some are more long cylinder shaped.
some of those do not have handles.

both parks sell mugs.

my mug has the thick plastic straw with the flip tab top to cover it.
its handle is long so if my son with the huge big hands uses it, he has plenty of room. some mugs have a smaller handle and a hand would just fit on it.

if you have aaa card, show it but you will only get a 10% discount.
yes, i did that also some years back before i had the ap to get about some cents off.....

any mug you buy at universal will be honored.
it doesn't matter how old it is.


i felt kind of stupid the first time i used my refillable mug.
but then, i got over that when i was buying soda for 3 boys......

Yep! We saved ours from last year and are packing it in the suitcase this year!!!

i still have the park guide maps from the first year i went to UO which was the studios only then. i went the year after it opened.

yea, i have receipts from then also.


i keep files on each trip.
you never know if someone has a question and i would need a receipt or guide map to answer it.....

macraven - I do the exact same thing! I have all the receips from all the trips, along with the guide maps and airline ticket stubs and pamplets I picked up off the walls in hotels, etc, etc. Everyone thinks I am crazy...I'm just like yeah I'm crazy! Crazy like a fox!
