refillable mugs at Port Orleans questions

We are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside in November.I have 2 mugs that say Port Orleans with the Gator on it and 1 that says Dixie Landings with Brer Rabbit on it. Can I use all 3 of these because these are now sister resorts.? Thanks, hate to spend another $10 if I dont have to.

We just returned from 4 days at Port Orleans & 3 days at AJL last week and had a wonderful time. I too had three old Port Orleans beverage mugs with the sea serpent on them which we took and used with no problems on during our stay. The new mugs look totally different, both in shape & design, but not once did I receive a "look" from any cast member.

How are the new ones shaped? We have the old Dixie ones and I was just wondering. BTW, have all the resorts chasnged the looks and shapes of their mugs?

I thought they always were sister resorts for Mugs - even before the name change of Dixie. Of course you really are bringing up the endless topic of whether the mugs are lifetime or really just length of stay. On my two trips in the last year 1/2 I thought it was pretty clear the use was only for length of stay - but I also saw a few people using mugs that they had obviously brought along from a prior stay.

During our stay in July I saw new PO mugs, old PO mugs, and old DL mugs. There was no hassle using any of them.

We were surprised last week, that although the length of stay sign was still up when we visited All Stars, it was not up at POR-R. The signs just give the prices and show the mugs. As usual, right or wrong, cashiers were telling people it was good forever (so of course people were just thrilled!). POR-R seemed to be out of the mugs used in the car..so they were selling the FQ mugs instead.

We used our Brer Rabbit Dixie Landing mugs on our June and August trips to Dixie Landing. No problem and saw lots of the same older mugs there. Dixie has a great following of regulars! Actually, other guest come up to me often and ask where they can buy a mug like the one I have because they like it better than the OLD Port Orleans mugs. We'll be digging out our All Star Movies mugs for our September and October trips to the A/S Movies.

For the question a couple replies up, the mugs are now offered in two shapes. The traditional wide mouth one, and the new tall skinny one which is narrower at the bottom for beverage holders in vehicles. Most people seem to purchase the new shaped ones when we were at POFQ a couple weeks ago.
